Rantling: RFW at a Lower Rate?

Well, I just got off the phone with work, to ask about the meeting and they said I could call in! Woo! Ain’t modern technology wonderful? Not to mention that I’m almost done downloading the rest of my mp3s from my work box, so that means I’ll have a heck of a lot more crap to play during live broadcasts. Of course now the question becomes, should I do live broadcasts at a lower rate so Smith doesn’t have to keep reconnecting, or should I keep it in stereo and just say “Fuck it?”

Half and half? One one way, one another?

    Just don’t tell S’res when it’s lower rate.. 😉

Definitely keep it in Stereo…rather easier on my sound system that way. 🙂 And keeps me from pissing off the upstairs neighbors.

Personally? I think a lower rate is better, if only because I can finally listen while actually doing things. Otherwise, only the broadcast plays and I do something strange – like clean my room. 😉

Lower rate definitely try 28.8 rate first but if that still doesn’t work for the ones that can’t listen currently go to 14.4 rate this should get everyone in I’d think.

Forget not the high ping bastards, for we are legion.

Unless I’m at work, where I have a DSL connection, I cannot listen to RFW, as my home system is on a 56k modem. I’ve already whined about how irritating it is listening to a high-bandwidth stream through a modem line. “You are list–” “……………..” “-ening–” “………….” “to radio free W” “……………….” “NOGHB.”

Some services offer two types of connections, high and low bandwidth. I don’t know whether Live365 does. But I would be all for the option of a low bandwidth connection.
