Okay. Well... I'll just call the President and suggest to him that he allow a huge bipartisan vote on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives calling him a liar, and that he welcome the result. Then, I'm gonna flap my wings and fly to Neverland. You think I am so desperate to cover my ass, I'm gonna roll over on Jed Bartlet? I take a bullet for the President. He doesn't take one for me. Is that all you got?

Every two to three weeks, I will cycle through games depending on the circumstances. For a good four weeks there, I was playing EverQuest everyday for hours on end without fail, and after spending more time online and finishing my book, I’ve neglected to play EQ for a good long while. In its place, and along with
It’s a pretty good game, and speaking as a player of all the C&C games (C&C, Red Alert 1/2, Tiberian Sun), this is a worthy descendant of the Command & Conquer banner.
This is a general question to those who watch anime, or even movies or television. Has there ever been a movie/series/episode that absolutely tugged on your heart strings enough to water your eyes?
Even though I’ve watched some of these movies or shows several times over, I still feel it. I remember the very first time I watched a fansubbed copy of the Bishoujou Senshi Sailormoon R movie and the scene where Sailor Moon gives her life to save the Earth will drive me to tears. Not far after, I watched Aa! Megamisama and the fifth episode was pretty heartwrenching. Recently, I was listening to the ending MIDI for the Gunbuster series, the final episode specifically, and I could already feel the strings tug and pull… that scene where they realize they’ve been sent 10,000 years into the future and everyone they knew is dead just makes me lose it big time. This reminds me that I would really like to see Manga Entertainment release Gunbuster on DVD once and for all… not that I could afford it, but I think maybe sooner or later I’ll have the money and pick it up.
There’s at least one episode of the Star Trek franchises (with the exception of TOS) that I will lose it: TNG’s “Skin of Evil”, DS9’s “The Visitor” (this episode is officially banned from being played in my apartment by decree of my roommate, who also lost it), and VOY’s “Drone”. I know what you’re saying… how could a Voyager episode possibly invoke tears? It was just that good, definitely one of the few episodes that touches you.
Anyway, respond below and share your thoughts.
With little to do these days except the constant submission of my resume to at least 2-3 companies, I’m finding myself having a lot of free time to do other things like… writing. The recent publication of my collected shorts in the WNOHGB universe has caused me to consider bringing other of my incomplete short stories to light. In discussing this with a friend of mine, there was mention (downright near demand, actually) to publish The Quarterdeck Breed in a bound format like I did with Tales from a Parallel Universe. In looking at the page count and trying to figure it out, it would very nearly be about 200-250 pages and I’d have to raise the price a little bit due to that high pagecount. I lowered the font size on Tales because I wanted to make at least $5 on every book, but with another hundred pages, I’ll be lucky if I draw $2 per book. Eh… Tales isn’t selling very well, but it would be nice to put it in something I can hold in my hands.
In preparation for the publishing of TQB, I’ve decided to start the E-ship anew with Eagle. It was originally going to be Excelsior, but there was a not-so-subtle point about my love of the Excelsior-class starship, and how it was prevalent within Tales (the two main stories both involved Excelsior-class ships). Besides, I’m pretty happy with the way Eagle is writing itself right now, and I hope to have it done by the end of the week for the first stage of editing.
Apparently, you’re supposed to bold the states you’ve been to… steal it if you wish.

It sounds like some sort of Sony Kids toy, I know, but I finally put the collection of short stories together and am self-publishing it through CafePress, who is amazingly gouging me for $14.57 on the print costs (that’s what I pay if I want a copy for myself). In order to make $5 profit per book, I had to mark it up to $19.99, but if you’re lucky enough, there’s a $5 off coupon floating around betwene friends that you can use in purchasing the book, so I still get the $5 in profit, but CafePress takes a $5 hit on their production costs, which is fine by me.
Please buy my book! I need the money! You can click right HERE to go to the order page. If you’re local to me, let me know you bought it and I’ll sign the first page for you… just in case I hit it big and you actually have a copy of this book, who knows?
Once again, I have completed another revision of a very old story. Remember the story I said did not need revision? It did. I had intended to include it within the collection of short stories I’m publishing soon, but when I sat down to read it, I just thought it read like utter and complete shit. I rewrote the whole thing and am now going through the second phase of writing, also known as editing. Editing your own work is kind of like having an artist tell you if his painting is good or not. I like to beleive that my stories express whatever I need to express and that the reader will come away with the proper sense of what it was that I was trying to say. Not like Trek fanfiction says much to begin with… but anyway. I’m just glad that the work is done and the easy part can begin.
