A quick post about webcomics…

This seems to be a week of just awesomeness in two of the webcomics I read. First, goes and OWNS everyone with seven new comics in a 24 hour period. Then, OWNS everyone with a single comic.

Go read S*P.
Go read QoW.

Then go read today’s websnark about Something*Positive.
And then… go read yesterday’s websnark about Queen of Wands.

There was a time when I used to read so many webcomics, because I found them remotely funny or because I just wanted to read that many. That was during a time when I chose quantity over quality. I’ve since switched my priorities from one end to the other, and there’s a reason why I only read S*P, QoW, GU, and Sinfest. I chose S*P and QoW, because in Randy and Aeire, I found powerful writers; they have both made me swing back and forth on the emotional spectrum and invest myself in characters that are not only beleive, but filled with an amazing depth previously unseen in any webcomic I’ve ever read. As a writer, I have a deep appreciation for their work, and as someone who cannot draw anything beyond stick figures, Star Trek starship interiors, and crappy crappy CRAPPY landscapes… well… y’know… they rule me. ๐Ÿ™‚ I chose GU because Woody’s commentary of online multiplayer gaming is almost nearly dead-on, and it always brings a smile to my face at the very least or makes me roll on the floor laughing at the very most. I chose Sinfest because… it’s Sinfest! ๐Ÿ™‚

Anyway, to Randy and Aeire I say, “Keep it up.” And in the words of Paul Shapiro, “Thanks for talking to me!”
