Twenty-Eight: Update for January 1st

On my birthday, I wrote up ten resolutions that I wanted to follow. As many of you know, I do resolutions on my birthday, not January First. So, for those of you who did not sit at the cool kids’ table, here’s the list and some updates:

1) I resolve to remain single for at least six months from April 1st.
2) I resolve to remain single for at least six months from April 1st.
3) I resolve to remain single for at least six months from April 1st.
4) I resolve to do more upper body work so I can lose some flub.
5) I resolve to get out more.
6) I resolve to finish Knight Commander by Christmas.
7) I resolve to return to school this fall.
8) I resolve to move to the city (or nearby) by September.
9) I resolve to find another career to shift into that is as lucrative as my current line of work.
10) Finally, I resolve to be present at at least four baseball games per month for the rest of this season.

1) I resolve to remain single for at least six months from April 1st.
2) I resolve to remain single for at least six months from April 1st.
2) I resolve to remain single for at least six months from April 1st.
I’m still single and I intend to remain so for as long as I can manage.

4) I resolve to do more upper body work so I can lose some flub.
I lost twenty-three pounds, on top of the 50 I lost before my birthday.

5) I resolve to get out more.
Done so many times over. 🙂

6) I resolve to finish Knight Commander by Christmas.
Okay, so this one definitely didn’t happen. In fact, the only progress I really made on this book was getting the outline completed, which in itself is a major step but nowhere near completing the book. I will have to update this to read that I resolve to finish the book by my next birthday.

7) I resolve to return to school this fall.
There was literally no time or money to devote to school last year. It sucked, because I saw my friends from college in various places, and all of them were telling me how awesome Japanese 6 was. Damn it. I wanted to finish my Japanese classes, too! I’ll have to see about spring quarter, for sure.

8) I resolve to move to the city (or nearby) by September.
If Todd had a decent paying job to be able to afford to move out, I would have done this by September, but it just wasn’t going to happen with all the various bills and things. It’ll take some serious cash to move me to the city, but at least now that Todd’s job at PG&E is becoming certain, that’s a possibility by August.

9) I resolve to find another career to shift into that is as lucrative as my current line of work.
Still working on this.

10) Finally, I resolve to be present at at least four baseball games per month for the rest of this season.
It was a shitload of fun to do this. I love baseball so much, and being able to go to all those games just reminded me how much I’m in love with this game. Of course, now that it’s winter, I’ve realized I’m going through withdrawals, and I’ve been playing MVP Baseball on my Xbox almost every day, now. It’s more fun if you substitute all the real players with you and your friends, and some anime characters. is the best closer in the game right now. MVP needs to allow me to create women players, too.

And there you have it. 🙂

    6) I can’t offer anything in terms of writing advice.
    7) I hope you make it back.
    8) I thought Todd wasn’t moving with you?
    9) You and me both.
    10) We’re going to hella, maybe not four times a month, but we’re going. And re: closer; yeah, you know.

Great job on the lost weight, doesn’t it feel good? I backtracked myself, so I need to get on the ball for this new year. Anyways, I hope you can get back to school as well. I’m working on that as well, but not until next fall, when both girls get out of school at the same time! take care and keep up the great work! *hugs*

Todd isn’t, but he still needs money to be able to move out on his own. 🙂

I’ve fallen by the way during holidays, but actually I’m keeping it steady around 305ish, which is good. 🙂
