No spoilers for me, thanks 🙂 Just let me know if it was worthy.

    • jetblack on May 27, 2005 at 01:10

I was not worthy of it. It was so fucking awesome.

GUH. I am bringing the DVDs home to Jersey with me. cable at the house there sucks, so I’ll be getting my Mal/River/Simon/Inara/Jayne/Kaylee/Book/Wash/Zoe fix a lot this weekend (in between Yankee games, of course).

I saw you said that you were not worthy of the screening. I want to know no more. …dances off to watch the trailer, again.

btw, I love that icon. thanks for using it. hee. (in best Homer Simpson voice) mmmm, Captain Tightpants….

I’m still kind of in shock/awe over how awesome this movie was. It was freaking amazing. There was a special message from Joss before the beginning of the movie, and it was really heartfelt and touching about how the fans are the reason why the movie got made and how if they want more they MUST promote the ever-loving shit out of it; because there’s no big names in the movie to attract people to the theater.

Yeah, starting September 1st, I’ll be adding my voice to the many who’re going to be saying how they are required to go see it. Plus, I’m curious to see what changes were made to the final edit.

*sigh* Joss rules all. I will be telling everyone I know all Summer long about “Serenity.”

one question: does River kick ass?

    • jetblack on May 27, 2005 at 09:35

River does nothing but kick ass throughout the whole damn movie.

it’s a good thing I’m leaving in a few minutes otherwise you’d be able to break me, and while I like to think I’m strong enough to resist, I’m sure I’m not…

    • jetblack on May 27, 2005 at 09:56

Give your will over to Captain Tightpants. He is mighty.

“JAYNE! THE MAN THEY CALL JAYNE!”

    • jetblack on May 27, 2005 at 10:13

    Jayne!
    The Man they call Jayne!

    He robbed from the rich
and he gave to the poor.
    Stood up to the man
    and gave him what for.
    Our love for him now
    ain’t hard to explain.
    The hero of Canton
    the man they call Jayne.

Our Jayne saw the mudders’ backs breakin’.
    He saw the mudders’ lament.
And he saw the Magistrate takin’
every dollar and leavin’ five cents.
So he said: “You can’t do that to my people.”
He said “You can’t crush them under your heel.”
So Jayne strapped on his hat
    and in 5 seconds flat
stole everythin’ Boss Higgins had to steal.

    He robbed from the rich
and he gave to the poor.
    Stood up to the man
    and gave him what for.
    Our love for him now
    ain’t hard to explain.
    The hero of Canton
    the man they call Jayne.

Now here is what separates heroes
from common folk like you and I.
    The man they call Jayne
    he turned ’round his plane
and let that money hit sky.

He dropped it onto our houses
he dropped it into our yards.
    The man they called Jayne
    he stole away our pain
and headed out for the stars!

    He robbed from the rich
and he gave to the poor.
    Stood up to the man
    and gave him what for.
    Our love for him now
    ain’t hard to explain.
    The hero of Canton
    the man they call Jayne.
