I did something last week. I went to see a guy named Will Bailey. He ran Horton Wilde's campaign in Orange County and Wilde died a couple of weeks ago and his widow wanted to know what Democrat was going to stand in for her husband should he win and I said... You have to understand. This wasn't something that cost me anything. They weren't going to announce unless Wilde won and that was never going to happen in Orange County. It's like the Secretary of Agriculture saying, 'Sure, I'm ready to assume the Presidency should the eighteen who come before me die. Why not?'

I put up a hardcover edition of the book, for those who prefer it. It’s a bit more expensive since it has a dust cover, but I’m picking one up for my mom, who’s been wanting one for a long time.

Also, any of my former WNOHGB compatriots who wrote stories about the ol’ game, if you’re interested in participating in a second Tales, let me know. I know some of you were writing some before the game got shut down and it would be cool to put some of that up on the site.
And at like $8 cheaper, thanks to Lulu.com
This is a second edition, so there are no revisions beyond the font.

I hope that some of you pick up a copy and enjoy it, and if you’re local, I’ll be more than happy to sign it.
Winrar: Two years and counting!

I restarted the ol’ WNO core back at its former address of wnohgb.org 1701. I’m using it primarily for codetesting of some utilities I have knocking around in my head, and because I figured if any old players wanted to jump on and grab descs or whatever, that would be cool, too.
While I have zero intentions of restarting the game in any form, if people want to keep playing, then go for it. Space is running, so all sims are active and whatnot.
As with all pools without lifeguards, no running or screaming and first aid has to be rendered by someone else. I’m not adminning a damn thing.

Hilarious.
I hit 25,000 words early this morning. The 25,000th word was ‘way.’
Here’s an updated total:

John Lewandowski, over at SantorumBlog discussed the results of Santorum’s defeat by Casey, Jr. in the recent Senate election for Pennsylvania. In a nutshell, he says that Santorum didn’t lose because he was Santorum, but because voters had an wet-cat-like reaction to anyone with the letter ‘R’ next to their name. In the blog post, he says, “His loss had nothing to do with his social conservatism. His loss hadnothing to do with his strong positions on the issues. And that’sbecause his loss had nothing to do with him and everything to do withan anti-Republican sentiment…”
Give me a break. Could all the Pennsylvanians on my friends’ list who did not vote for the lame duck junior Senator from PA go over there, and drop a comment setting the record straight and showing Mister Lewandowski that his misguided attempt to assauge the resounding defeat is… well, misguided?
This is what it all means to me:
I’d like to thank everyone who got out to the polls today to make their voices heard. Whether you’re a Democrat or Republican, Green or Libertarian, Reform or Peace & Freedom… you stood up for your ideals and sent your message loud and clear.
Personally, I’m absolutely ecstatic over the returns I’m seeing reported by several sources:
