I was getting pretty fed up with fanfiction.net; mostly because they’ve been using their TOS for their own nefarious means, including the ability to take what you write and use it however they wish. So, I went looking for some LAMP setup where I could house my stuff and not pay them to host it for me (I know it’s free, but I actually gave them money for a few years’ hosting).
It took most of the night, but I found it and I installed it, and I’m pretty happy with it. So much so, that I’m offering my fellow writing friends the opportunity to house their stuff (if they have no desire to publish professionally, or they write fanfic only).
Head over to http://fiction.hopestation.net and register. Make sure you validate your registration with the email it sends out. Oh, and if there’s a category missing, please let me know and I’ll put it in there for you.
