OPENING DAY! OPENING DAY!

Everyone is on notice. I am replying with one of two icons today: Baseball is Life, and I’ve Got a Giant Attitude.

It’s OPENING DAY! REJOICE!

Today is the Easter here at the Church of Baseball, and the Holy Lord of the Mighty Curveball shall reign over us all until the end of the Fall Classic. Not a fucking god damned thing is going to bring me down today, because it’s OPENING DAY! You are instructed to leave a comment of rejoicing below, and talk trash about how your team is going to win the whole fucking thing. Yes, even you Devil Ray fans shall rejoice! It’s OPENING DAY!

08 IS THE YEAR OF THE DEVIL RAYS WS CHAMPIONS MARK MY WORDS JOIN THE EARLY BANDWAGON NOW

Meanwhile, the Giants will win if not sweep the opening series against LA. I am so excited and scared at the same time because I think it’s legit, it’s real, even without Barry we can do this thing.

    It has begun.

I read from the Book of Willie, chapter 8, verses 10-11:

And yea, though they suffered long through the cold winter nights of slash writing to fulfill their yearning souls/each night they would dream of freshly cut grass upon which the titans of The Game would play.

    A-fucking-men.

    The Sermon on the Mound:

And I shall strike mine enemies down with a Schmidt change-up, and even as I walk in the shadow of Barry I fear not, for Moises shall deliver us, and Benitez shall be our salvation.

Of COURSE the Giants are going to win the whole fucking thing this year. The Gods and Goddesses of Baseball have agreed – the wait is over. This is OUR year!

I quote from the Book of Roger Craig, chapter 12, verses 2-6:

    A split finger fastball/the suicide squeeze/a double up the middle/and a home run in the breeze/I’ve got a Giant… I’ve got a Giant Attitude.

And the names Herges and Ransom forevermore would remain a curse upon the House of Sabean…

    Funny comments. =)

I was reading the NL West in preview, pretty accurate, decent things to say. I love how for each team it says like:

“The Giants win if: Barry comes back before the end of the season”

    etc.

So for the Rockies it said, “The Rockies win if: Todd Helton is cloned 7 times.”
