Senior Year Meme (stolen from <lj user=”bonitachickita”>)

What year was it?
1993-1994

What were your favorite bands or musical artists?
I was pretty much ga-ga for Andrew Lloyd Webber, de Meij, and the sound of my own voice.

What was your favorite outfit?
My band jacket, a nice shirt, and some shorts.

What was up with your hair?
Same as it is now. Short and sweet.

Who were your best friends?
Todd.

Where did you work?
My uncle’s concrete construction firm in downtown; I worked two summers as a secretary.

Did you take the bus?
Nope, I rode a bicycle to school and pretty much everywhere else. My friends all had cars and they would tote me around.

Who did you have a crush on?
Um, there was this girl in my English class who was goth, and she really piqued my interest. She had dark brown hair with a fire engine red highlight or two, and wore all black with a very pasty white face. Contrasts have always held my interest. I never talked to her once.

My other crush was on a girl named Rhea, who dated my best friend (not Todd) during my junior year. She was a year behind me, and we did end up dating the summer after my graduation. I still kind of carry a torch for her, because I think she was the first girl I ever truly loved.

Did you fight with your parents?
Well, not with my dad. My mom and I only fought over my moving out after the summer. My dad was really cool after I hit 16.

Who did you have a CELEBRITY crush on?
At the time, I was very much into Tiffany Amber Theissen from Saved By the Bell.

Did you smoke cigarettes?
Nope.

Did you lug all of your books around in your backpack because you never went to your locker?
Interestingly enough, every year but my senior year. My senior year I nabbed a locker that was nice and central to the campus and I shared it with my best friend. 🙂

Did you have a ‘clique’?
If you consider marching band a clique, sure.

Did you have “The Max” like Zach Kelly and Slater?
Yes. Denny’s, but that was because we often snagged free food.

Admit it, were you popular?
Absolutely not. I was a total geek in high school. Band geek, choir nerd, chess club champion (even lettered in chess).

Who did you want to be just like?
I wanted to be me, but with some success in music.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
Music teacher.
