Coding, Writing, Cutting…

This week’s cut of Unwound is done, finally. Also, Ray managed to get us a sponsor for this week’s show that will be having us run a contest, giving away free copies of Samurai Warriors: Xtreme Legends. A game I reviewed for Animerica Magazine, which is entirely coincidental. I laughed pretty hard when Ray told me during the record session… I thought I was done with the game, but instead, it’s following me around to my other projects. Not that it’s a bad game… eh, pick up December’s Animerica to read what I thought of it.

I’ve been heavily coding stuff on a game these days. Before those of you who know of me from WNO, it’s not WNO2. In fact, we’re running into such a clusterfuck with the SBC/meer.net bullshit in getting our line reinstated that I’ve had to rechannel my coding skills over to a game called Stargate: SG-X. It’s an alternate universe Stargate-themed game, and I really think it’s going to take off. I’m rethinking the whole WNO2 thing and thinking I need to concentrate on a whole new game entirely. The other wizards involved with WNO2 are discussing the possilbility that due to the downtime and low motivation, to work on Sg-X instead. We’ll see what happens in the coming weeks, and we’ll also see exactly how long it is going to take SBC to actually do what they said they were going to do. Having no net access at home is pretty frustrating; it means no email coming in.

In the writing area, I’ve also been working pretty hard on Knight Commander. Recent events have forced me to take another hard look at my work and try a little harder in getting it done before Christmas. I think it’s doable, and especially with the recent support for my writing, I’m inspired to continue. Of course, this means that my works will be needing to come down from FictionPress.com, because there’s a strong possibility of selling the book to an actual publisher.

Also, I guess I did not notice until now, but welcome to my journal. It’s… not much.

Damn, Samurai Warriors is awesome. I loved the original and played the heck out of it. Almost beat the bonus dungeon too… though I knew I was pretty screwed when I got to the last floor and saw “Bu Army” by the soldiers.
